Total deception; we had to leave
We were totally dissatisfied. The studio apartment does NOT correspond neither to the pictures nor to the description on the Booking.com site. The studio is on the ground floor, much smaller than referenced (25m² instead of 70m²), has no window to the open air, has no proper door. The studio faces a dark internal court behind a hair salon. The apartment is humid and unhealthy, and the bathroom leaks. There is no reception and staff are barely available on the phone. When trying to solve problems, the management was neither cooperative nor even available.

Good stay few improvements to make
The location was great and the place was quiet at night. Our place had a huge window overlooking the inner garden which was beautiful. Beds were comfortable and the air conditioning worked great.
We had the two bedroom apartment but it was never stated that one of the bedrooms did not have a door, it was an open space next to the kitchen/living room, that was a surprise. If you need privacy this may not be for you. On the other hand, we were three guests and were only given one set of keys. This was very uncomfortable and tedious because you needed the key to open the apartment and the gate downstairs also the apartment didn’t close without the key, so the person staying had to keep the key at all times instead of the one leaving, and walk downstairs to open and close the gate.

What would you highlight about Apart Hotel Tortuga
Really comfy, excellent location, great staff!
The staff was really good. First we got a room that was not the one we saw in the booking process. After we told our problems to the staff they quickly solved it moving us to another apartment that was great and was what we were expecting. Very spatious, with great bed, balcony, kitchen with all the elements we needed, AC and great TV. after that first day, everything went excellent! Also we really liked that we had a cleaning lady that was very nice and everyday we had the room cleaned. Great location too!
We did not like that as soon we arrived we got a room that we did not expect from the pictures we got from the site, it was really new and clean but it did not have a fridge, the tv did not work and it had a very big window as a door that we felt it did not gave us much privacy, but the receptionist quickly solved the problem and after that we were very satisfied and happy with the solution given.

Very good value for money for what we needed.
Privacy and quietness of the location was great even though we were almost right in the hustle and bustle of the main street.
No front desk near by and no way to call from room. The main hotel and front desk was down the street. Air conditioning wasn’t working well.
